Our Story

Kinema Kin is finally out and we have named our collective "Kinema Kin" as an homage to the ubiquitous presence of kinema, or fermented beans, in the kitchens of the northeastern regions of India, Darjeeling, and Nepal. "Kin" symbolizes family, representing the interconnectedness of these diverse regions through a shared culinary tradition.
